Quote to Live By: : “Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.”

I am nominating Deb because in the short time that I have known her, she gives all her time and energy to helping others. She is a very special person with a great big heart. Deb is a Registered Nurse at Hospicare and Palliative Care Services of Tompkins County, which that alone tells you what a kind soul she is. When she is assigned a patient, not only is she a nurse to that person, but also a friend and caregiver. She is always doing something extra for her patients to make them as happy and comfortable as possible and each patient holds a special place in her heart.

Besides being so caring at her job, Deb volunteers her free time to several organizations. You can always count on her asking for donations from her co-workers and friends around the holidays for the Salvation Army "Adopt-A-Family". She is also a big supporter and volunteer of the St. Baldricks Foundation held each year at the Lake Watch Inn in Lansing.

Deb's first love though is her children, daughters Ashley and Kristina. If Deb is not working or volunteering, she is spending quality time with her daughters and family. I feel truly blessed to be a friend of Deb's and I would love for Deb to be nominated so she knows that her acts of kindness have not gone unnoticed by all that know and love her.
